William Kramer

Mr. William
Kramer is president of The Global Challenge Network, LLC, a consulting and
executive education and training company. He is also a Partner Associate at
AccountAbility, a global think tank and consultancy. In addition, he is Senior
Associate of the IESE Platform on Strategy and Sustainability, Barcelona, Spain.
From 2001 to mid-2007, he worked with World Resources Institute in a variety of
posts, including Director of Education and Training for the Markets & Enterprise
Program, Deputy Director of the Development through Enterprise project, and
Senior Fellow. During his WRI tenure, he was involved in all aspects of the
Institute’s work on pro-poor business strategies.
Kramer is co-author of The
Next Four Billion: Market Size and Business Strategy at the Base of the Pyramid
(WRI/IFC, Washington, D.C., 2007). |

Tony Tan Caktiong
Chairman, Jollibee Foods Corporation

Mr. Tony Tan
Caktiong is the founder and current chairman of Philippine fastfood chain
Jollibee. A University of Sto. Tomas graduate with a degree of Chemical
Engineering; he initially planned a Magnolia ice cream parlor at Cubao in 1975
with Jollibee as the original business name. With the guidance of his consultant
Manuel C. Lumba, they shifted their focus from ice cream to hamburgers and added
more into their menu to include french fires and fried chicken. The strategy
proved to be very profitable and they then made the move into a full-service,
fast food operation with drive thrus.
Caktiong was named Entrepreneur of the Year, Philippines and Ernst and Young
Entrepreneur of the Year World in 2004. |

Federico R. Lopez
President and CEO, First Gen Corporation

Mr. Federico R.
Lopez is President and CEO of First Gen Corporation, which is the largest
vertically integrated power generation company in the Philippines. He serves as
director, President and CEO of all member-companies of the First Gen and First
Gas group of companies. He also holds the positions of Managing Director for
Energy and Senior Vice President at First Philippine Holdings Corporation.
Lopez sits as director for the Board of First Philippine Holdings Corporation,
ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, Energy Development Corporation, Bauang Private
Power Corporation, First Philippine Industrial Corporation, and First Philippine
Electric Corporation. Aware and supportive of the concept of corporate social
responsibility, Lopez is president of First Philippine Conservation, Inc. and is
a Board Member of Conservation International. |

Anna Maria S. Garcia
President, Shopping Center Management Corporation

Ms. Anna Maria
Garcia is president of the Shopping Center Management Corporation (SCMC). She
joined the SM Group in 1989 as Assistant Vice President for Department Store
Operations after over 10 years of experience in various positions with the
Landmark Corporation and Anson’s Department Store. She was appointed Vice
President for Operations of SCMC in 1998 and assumed the position of President
in 2006. Under MS. Garcia’s leadership, SCMC carries out the SM CARES program.
Ms. Garcia is a member of the Philippine Retailers Association and the
International Council of Shopping Centers. Ms. Garcia holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Foreign service from the University of the Philippines
(Diliman) and has studied at the Instituto Vox in Madrid, Spain. She has
attended and delivered speeches in numerous conferences both here and abroad. |

Dr. Filemon A. Uriarte. Jr.
Executive Director, ASEAN Foundation
Speaker, Crafting a CSR Vision for the Philippines

Dr.
Uriarte has over 40 years of experience in the academe, private sector, ASEAN,
United Nations, and the Philippine government serving in various senior level
positions. In the Philippine government, he has served as Secretary of Science
and Technology. He has also held senior level positions at the United Nations
Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
In ASEAN, Dr. Uriarte served as member or head of the Philippine Government’s
delegation to numerous ASEAN intergovernmental meetings at the ministerial,
senior official, and committee levels. He also served as a senior official at
the ASEAN Secretariat, first as Director of the Science and Technology Bureau
and then as Director of the Functional Cooperation Bureau, managing and
coordinating ASEAN cooperation in the fields of social development, labor,
drugs, youth, culture and information, environment, and science and technology. |

Katrina Legarda

Ms. Katrina
Legarda is a lawyer by profession who specializes in family law and is an
advocate of the rights of women and children. She graduated from the University
of Bristol England and obtained her degree in law from the University of the
Philippines College of Law. She joined the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and
Cruz Law offices in 1981 and left a Partner in 1992.
She is founding Chair of the Child Justice League, a foundation dedicated to
providing free legal assistance to abused children and children in conflict with
the law and a founding member of the CASA/GAL- Philippines Foundation, Inc. She
is presently a Professor in the College of Medicine of the University of the
Philippines and also a Professor in the College of Law of the Pamantasan ng
Lungsod ng Maynila and Lyceum University. |

Paul A. Aquino
President & CEO, Energy Development Corporation (EDC)
Speaker, Crafting a CSR Vision for the Philippines

Mr. Paul Aquino is
the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Filipino firm Energy
Development Corporation (EDC, formerly PNOC Energy Development Corporation)
since February 2004.
EDC is the largest producer and the only active developer of geothermal energy
in the Philippines. The Company is primarily engaged in the exploration,
development, and optimization of geothermal steam fields. It is also responsible
for the country’s lofty standing in the international geothermal industry as the
world’s second largest geothermal energy producer behind the United States.
A staunch advocate of CSR and good corporate governance, Aquino re-invigorated
the company’s corporate citizenship efforts that now benefit close to 18,000
households around five project areas. Under his watch, EDC also landed a spot in
the Top 20 Corporate Governance Scorecard of the Institute of Corporate
Directors. |

Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan
CEO and Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees of WWF Philippines
Mr. Tan is CEO and
Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of WWF Philippines. Concurrently, he sits
as the Chairman and President of the Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation
Foundation.
He serves on the Technical Adviser’s Group of the Secretary of Agriculture. He
is also an NGO member of the Sulu Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion Tri-National
Committee, the PA Management Board of Tubbataha Reef Natural Park, and the Joint
Management Committee of the Turtle Islands Heritage Protected Area that covers
Malaysia and Philippines.
Within the Enabling Team of WWF’s Coral Triangle Network Initiative, Lory’s work
focuses in the areas of Business & Industry engagement, Multi-lateral
Development Banks, Government & Aid Agency relationships as well as in the
emerging field of Public-Private partnerships. As Philippine CEO, he sits as a
member of the CTNI Shareholder’s Group. |
