PUBLIC SERVICE 2.0

From e-Government to e-Governance

The Chief Information Officers Forum (CIOF), and the Chief Information Officers Forum Foundation (CIOFF), in cooperation with the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) and the e-Governance for Efficiency and Effectiveness (E3) Project, is organizing the 1st Philippine e-Governance Forum, in partnership with strategic marketing consultancy firm TeamAsia.

The theme for this year's forum is "Public Service 2.0: From e-Government to e-Governance." The forum will be held on June 22 to 23, 2010, at the Hotel InterContinental Manila, Makati City.

"Public Service 2.0: From e-Government to e-Governance" aims to engage various stakeholders to support the objectives and programs of the CICT, and encourage public and private organizations to help advance and promote ICT in the government and the entire country.

Local and international speakers, as well as industry experts, will discuss three pertinent issues in e-Governance: the role and value of e-Governance in the country's development; the impact of e-Governance to the citizen's service delivery; and, the current challenges of e-Governance. The speakers will also share insights and best practices, and showcase successful e-Government initiatives.
