On February 26, 2013, the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) of the Philippines will hold the second anniversary forum of Arangkada Philippines at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel entitled Realize the Potential! where it will release the second anniversary assessment of the 471 recommendations in Arangkada Philippines 2010. The Forum will feature speakers and panels from both the private and public sector on how the Philippines can realize its potential to be to become a more competitive economy in Southeast Asia with higher sustainable and inclusive growth.

The theme of the first anniversary forum of Arangkada Philippines was Move Twice as Fast and that is what the economy has done with an average GDP growth of 6.5% in the first three quarters of this year in a very challenging global business environment. For 2013, the JFC has selected the theme Realize the Potential! inspired in part by President Aquino’s comments about how the country’s potential has long been dormant and by the growing recognition of the Philippines as a growth leader among larger emerging economies.

The assessment of recommendations from the four parts of Arangkada Philippines will be discussed by speakers and panels. President Benigno S. Aquino III and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno have been invited to deliver keynote speeches. Other senior government officials invited include DTI Sec. Gregory Domingo and NCC Private Sector Co-Chairman Guillermo Luz. The Forum will also be streamed live on the internet.
