This session is an opportunity for the business sector to hear from the new President his vision for the country and plans for the next six years, especially in areas that require cooperation and collaboration between the public and private sectors.

We will also hear from the LCF what corporate foundations have done over the past years and what the emerging trends are within the private sector toward supporting sustainable national development.

Through this session, we help make the case that art education is equally important in developing citizens with a deep appreciation of their history and culture. Two distinguished speakers will show us how visual arts and music can be used as tools to engage our students and make them appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of being a Filipino. In this session, we will also be launching the Art Connection sourcebook for teachers, a project of the LCF Arts and Culture Committee that aims to help public school teachers better teach the Makabayan subject.

This session focuses on the partnership between the public and private sectors, and their efforts in promoting preventive health education among schoolchildren. Health practitioners work with local government units and private health organizations to conduct health profiling in public elementary schools and to identify the main causes of health-related absences.

To ensure a sustainable health program, teachers are provided basic training by professional health practitioners to increase their awareness and enable them to develop a positive attitude toward preventive health. A Vision Screening Manual for Elementary School Teachers will be distributed to teachers who have registered for the session.
