Dr. Carmen A. ABESAMIS-DICHOSO
Fellow, Philippine College of Optometrists (PCO) and the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE)

Dr. Carmen Dichoso is a fellow of the Philippine College of Optometrists and the International Association of Contact Lens Educators. She chairs the Healthy Athletes Program of the Special Olympics Philippines and is Clinical Director of the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program.

Dr. Dichoso is also part of the Global Curriculum on "Visual Assessment of the Intellectually Disabled," a project of the Special Olympics International and the Lions Club International Foundation. She is a candidate for the fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry, and a recipient of the International Association of Contact Lens Educator Fellowship.

Maria Cecilia Alcantara is President and board member of the League of Corporate Foundations, the leading corporate social responsibility advocate in the Philippines. She has been President and Executive Director of Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines since 1994. Ms. Alcantara is also a board member of the Association of Foundations, the Philippine Council for NGO Certification, and Operation Smile Philippines. She also sits in the Management Committee of the Corporate Network for Disaster Response and the Philippine Advisory Committee of Resource Alliance.

Edgardo Amistad is Chairperson of the League of Corporate Foundations, and President of UCPB-CIIF Finance & Development Corporation and UCPB-CIIF Foundation, Incorporated. He serves as Chairman of the Coconut Committee of the Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Foods, and sits in the board of the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation. He is also a member of the National Cooperative Movement, where he participates in various projects and programs related to agrarian reform.

Mr. Amistad holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Santo Tomas, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He also completed a program for development managers at the Asian Institute of Management, and is an active member of its alumni association.

Climate Change Commission

Lawrence Ang is a Technical Consultant at the Climate Change Commission, acting as an adviser and focal point on issues related to reduced emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD+), and renewable energy policies.

He contributed in the formulation of the National Strategy Framework on Climate Change that will steer the country towards climate change adaptation and carbon reduction. He put up Canberra City's first university community garden and worked for the Australian Capital Territory's National Resource Management Council, and Faerber Hall, a US-based energy consultancy.

In 2008, he received the MR Jacobs Prize in Siviculture, and is passionate about sparking Philippine innovations in renewable energy, watershed restoration, and engineering social change.
Ms. Lisa ANTONIO

Lisa Antonio is the Executive Director of the Philippine Business for the Environment, serving in concurrent capacity as Program Director for its Corporate Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reduction assistance programs, Greening the Supply Chain Program, and the EU-assisted Green Islands of Sustainability Project with Philippine SMEs. She is also a representative to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Ms. Antonio has over 16 years of environmental project management, training, and environmental education experience. She was former Director of the Resource Center for Environment and Sustainable Development at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). She also taught at the DAP - Graduate Program on Public Management and the Ateneo de Manila University - School of Management.

She is experienced in developing and implementing marketing, communications, and strategic business plans and campaigns that produce results and increase sales and profits.

Skilled in product and brand development, training, sales management, business development, market research, and profiling, she served as Production and Marketing Manager for One Hundred Services Inc. and later joined the Directories Philippines Corporation. Prior to joining Google in 2006, she did consultancy work for Dream Satellite TV, ABC 5, and DMCI Homes.
Dr. Arsenio M. BALISACAN

Dr. Arsenio Balisacan is a professor at the School of Economics of the University of the Philippines. He served as the Chief Executive Director of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) from 2003 to 2009. He is currently President of the Asia-Pacific Policy Center, and chairs the Task Force on Climate Change of the National Academy of Science and Technology.

He also served as Undersecretary for Policy and Planning at the Department of Agriculture, and founded the Asia-Pacific Agricultural Policy Forum. Dr. Balisacan is the founding and current editor of the Asian Journal of Agriculture and Development, and president-elect of the Asian Society of Agricultural Economics.
Ms. Teresita D. BALTAZAR

Teresita Baltazar is an advocate of good citizenship values, serving as Coordinator of the Good Citizenship Movement, a social group promoting core Filipino values as contribution to the nation-building. She received several awards including the Assumption Centennial Award, the Chino Roces Award, and the Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Award for Nationalism from the Commission on Higher Education and the Federation of Catholic Schools' Alumni Association.

An active member of various organizations involved in the anti-dictatorship struggle in the 1980s, Ms. Baltazar was also engaged in social development work as executive director of the Ala-Ala Foundation and Konsyensyang Bayan Pilipino, a network of civil society groups for good governance. In 2001, she headed the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission, a position she held until June 30, 2010.

Maria Nenette Barrios is the Philippine representative to the International Standardization Organization Working Group on ISO26000 and Coordinator of ISO26000 Education Network. As representative, Ms. Barrios participates in the drafting of the international standard on social responsibility. In her role as coordinator, she leads the designing of ISO26000 training and education curricula and teaching materials.

Ms. Barrios is also Project Leader of the Sustainable Social Responsibility and Environmental Ethics Network, and Chair of the Philippine National Working Group on Social Responsibility, the national mirror committee of the ISO26000 Working Group. In the latter role, she advises six stakeholder groups, namely, government, business, NGOs, labor, consumers, and academe, in their activities in social responsibility.

Milette Belen is the Vice President of Pfizer Philippines Foundation and the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of Pfizer, Inc. These two organizations believe and advocate for comprehensive health programs for underserved communities and the development of the value of community service among employees. Currently, Ms. Belen is also the Vice Chairman of the Health Committee of the League of Corporate Foundations.

Ms. Belen has been with Pfizer for the past 10 years starting as a Market Research Manager, but her personal passion in volunteering pushed her to move to corporate social responsibility. Prior to Pfizer, she was a Senior Research Executive at the Philippine Survey and Research Center (PSRC).

Atty. Maria Ronely Bisquera-Sheen is the Executive Director of Tanggol Kalikasan, a public interest environmental law office. She was part of the team that served as legal resource person for the Department of Energy in the development of the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the Renewable Energy Act of the Philippines.

She also directed a project that conducted consultations with local government officials for the formulation of the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the Clean Water Act. She has facilitated several trainings, including workshops during the first National Environmental Law Enforcement Summit in July 2006. Prior to her role in Tanggol Kalikasan, Ms. Bisquera-Sheen was Court Attorney of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

Camille Buenaventura is a social development practitioner extensively involved in the promotion of corporate social responsibility, with working experience in the field of program/project development, monitoring and evaluation, consultancy work on corporate-community relations, and as resource person on community relations trainings. Currently the Executive Director of San Miguel Foundation, she plans and develops strategies for the social development program of the entire San Miguel group. She is the Trustee-Treasurer of the League of Corporate Foundations, co-chair of the LCF Enterprise Development Committee, a member of the speakers' pool of the LCF CSR Institute, and a trustee of Petron Foundation.

Roger Carlson was a USAID career officer since 1963 and served different posts in North Africa, Southeast Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. He was a Director in Somalia, Washington, Swaziland, and Mozambique. He retired from USAID in 1996 and engaged in management consulting within the NGO community, active in overseas development. He launched a trade magazine in South Africa focused on transport policy and economics, and has undertaken numerous short- and medium-term senior assignments with USAID in Afghanistan, Yemen, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste before coming to the Philippines as Acting Deputy Mission Director for USAID.

Augusto Carpio III worked in the banking industry for 19 years and was exposed to different banking disciplines. In 2000, he shifted gears and started a career in foundation work and managed to involve the Aboitiz Group of Companies to engage in their respective corporate social responsibility programs, along with over 60 other companies.

Presently, he is the Executive Vice President and Managing Trustee of the Aboitiz Foundation, and a board member of the Philippine Council for NGO Certification, the Association of Foundations, and the Science and Technology Education Center in Cebu. Agnes de Jesus joined the renewable energy firm Energy Development Corporation (EDC) as a botanist 30 years ago and is now the company's tireless Senior Vice President for Environment and External Relations. Environmental management, community development, conflict resolution, and policy formulation are some of the areas that she specializes in. She has written more than 20 papers on environment and the social aspects of development projects and is a noted resource person on these matters in local and international conferences.

Ms. de Jesus is a scientist by profession, having obtained both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Botany from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She is also a noted speaker in international conferences and a member of various government technical working groups on environmental concerns.
Mr. Felipe DE LEON, Jr.

Felipe De Leon, Jr. is an art studies professor at the University of the Philippines, teaching humanities, aesthetics, music theory, Philippine art, culture and tourism. He is also a professional lecturer in language and social transformation, semiotics, mythology and institutional dynamics, and accompanying people's movements at the Asian Social Institute.

He is presently Chairman of the Committee on Intangible Heritage of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and is Vice President of the International Music Council of UNESCO. He was a former Commissioner of UNESCO Philippines and headed the NCCA Subcommission for the Arts and the NCCA National Committee for Music. Mr. De Leon has several published works, and is the main author of the ASEAN Declaration for Cultural Heritage.

Dr. Cynthia del Mundo is a clinician, lecturer and researcher in pediatric optometry, binocular vision and orthoptics. She was trained in the United Kingdom and Japan, and holds clinic in Del Mundo Pediatric and Adult Eye Clinics. She became a Diplomate in Orthoptics, Binocular Vision and Pediatric Optometry in 2006. In 2009, she was honored by the Board of Optometry of the Professional Regulation Commission for her outstanding contribution to the field of Optometry.

Dr. del Mundo is Chairperson of the board of trustees of the Philippine College of Optometrists, and founding president of the Philippine Pediatric Optometry and Orthoptics Society.

Mario Deriquito is Senior Director of the Ayala Foundation, the social development arm of the Ayala group of companies. He is responsible for overseeing the foundation's major education and leadership development programs, and for setting up and managing the newly created Resource Development Department. He also oversees the Philippine operations of Ayala Foundation USA, a US-based foundation that works with Filipino-Americans who want to give back to their home country.

Mr. Deriquito serves as Chair of the Education Committee of the League of Corporate Foundations. He is currently board member and Chair of the Capacity-Building Committee of the Association of Foundations. He is also a board member and the treasurer of the Philippine Council for NGO Certification.
Ms. Leticia C. DEYTO

Leticia Deyto started working in Meralco as a benefits administration staff more than 20 years ago. In 2001, she became the corporate social responsibility (CSR) specialist of the CSR Office of Meralco and project coordinator for the Meralco Dependents Livelihood Multipurpose Cooperative.

As CSR specialist, Ms. Deyto heads the planning, enhancement, and administration of CSR projects. She develops and manages CSR information, and provides secretariat services for corporate foundations and associate groups. Ms. Deyto is currently the Chair of the Enterprise Development Committee of the League of Corporate Foundations.

Andrew Egan worked as a lawyer before joining the Australian Agency for the International Development (AusAID). In 2006, he worked at the Human Rights Watch and the UN Millennium Project headed by Jeffrey Sachs.

Mr. Egan has represented the AusAID in the Philippines since 2009, overseeing a broad portfolio of the aid programs, including those in economic governance, infrastructure, human resource and organizational development, sub-national governance, and community development. Prior to arriving in the Philippines, Mr. Egan worked as Director of the Office of Development Effectiveness of AusAID, assessing the quality and measuring the effectiveness of the Australian aid program in the Asia-Pacific region.

Marilou Erni worked as Public Relations Manager and Head of Training and Organization Development of the Petron Companies before serving as the Executive Director and Trustee of Petron Foundation. She also serves as President of the Bataan Coastal Care Foundation, and spearheads an integrated coastal management program for Bataan, a project that constitutes a significant component of the Manila Bay Environmental Management Project led by the United Nations Development Programme.

Ms. Erni also represents the business sector of the Asia-Pacific region in the Stakeholder Council of the Global Reporting Initiative, and is a fellow of the Synergos Institute, a New York-based non-profit organization working with local partners globally to fight poverty.

Hon. Sherwin Gatchalian was the country's youngest City Mayor when he was first elected in 2004 at 31 years old. Now on his third term, Mayor Gatchalian is responsible for spearheading large-scale landmark infrastructure projects in Valenzuela. Under his term, the City of Valenzuela also rose to become a model of cleanliness. Within six months from assuming office, Mayor Gatchalian was able to address the garbage problem by putting in place efficient and effective garbage collection and disposal strategies, and instilling the value of discipline among his constituents.

Atty. Yves-Randolph Gonzalez is the creator of "PCOSmachine," the Twitter account that rose to fame during the 2010 national elections, and which currently has over 14,000 followers. Gonzalez is a lawyer by profession, having passed the 2009 bar examinations and placing 6th. Ms. Gonzalez-Goolsby is also part of several socio-civic organizations, including the Women for Women Foundation, where she is a trustee and a former president.

Dr. Milwida Guevara is the CEO of Synergeia Foundation and has held many positions in government. She has received national awards for being a public servant par excellence and for serving government with great distinction, including the Second Gawad Haydee Yorac Award for Public Service in March 2008.

She served as Undersecretary in the Department of Finance responsible for revenue generation and tax reforms, and was part of the economic team of former President Fidel Ramos. Jennifer Laxamana leads Manila Doctors Hospital's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and initiatives, in coordination with its medical departments, other institutions and partners. Her department's initiatives include out-patient and in-patient services, medical and surgical missions, a community health program and a school health program.

Ms. Laxamana also concurrently heads the CSR Committee on Special Projects, which is in charge of planning CSR projects and providing volunteer opportunities for Manila Doctors Hospital's internal stakeholders. Ms. Laxamana previously served as Program Coordinator of Charity First Foundation and as District Development Officer at Caritas Manila.

Dr. Anthony Leachon is a well-respected member of the medical profession. He practices medicine as an internist and cardiologist at Manila Doctors Hospital. At the same time, he is also Director for Medical and Regulatory Affairs at Pfizer and Member of the Board of Regents of the Philippine College of Physicians. Dr. Leachon was awarded Most Outstanding Professional in the field of medicine by the Professional Regulation Commission, and Outstanding Filipino Physician by the Department of Health. He was also the principal author of the Health Education Reform Order (Executive Order No. 0595) and was accorded the Presidential Citation for helping the government with its preventive health education advocacy.

Professor Raphael Lotilla is the Regional Programme Director of the GEF/UNDP/UNOPS Partnerships for Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) and Regional Programme and the Executive Director of the PEMSEA Resource Facility. He was Secretary of the Department of Energy from 2005 to 2007, where he steered the government's energy independence and power sector reform agenda and spearheaded the passage of the Biofuels law and the legislature's consideration of the Renewable Energy Bill.

Prof. Lotilla was Undersecretary of the National Economic Development Authority from 1996 to 2003. He also served as Coordinator of the Philippine Council for Sustainable Development, and was part of the multistakeholder formulation of Philippine Agenda 21.

Dr. Neil Aldrin Mallari represents the Philippines in Fauna and Flora International, an organization dedicated to the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide. Dr. Mallari has served in the Haribon Foundation, the ASEAN Regional Center for Biodiversity and Conservation International-Philippines and is an active member of the Wildlife Conservation Society of the Philippines, Wild Bird Club of the Philippines, Society for Conservation of Biology, and World Pheasants Association. He also authored and co-authored more than 20 technical papers on environmental topics, and co-authored the book, Key Conservation Sites of the Philippines. He holds a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Dennis Mapa is a multi-awarded researcher. In 2008, he was awarded Outstanding Young Scientist by the National Academy of Science and Technology for his contribution in Financial Econometrics and Empirical Economic Growth analysis. He has published several papers in academic journals and book chapters. He has presented papers in national and international conferences. He sits in the Board of the Philippine Statistical Association, where he chairs the Annual Conference Committee and Training Committee. He is a member of the Philippine Economic Society, the International Statistical Institute, the East Asian Economic Association, and the Human Development Network.

Rei Medrano is currently the manager of the Corporate Social Responsibility and Policy Advocacy Department of Energy Development Corporation (EDC). He joined EDC's Environmental Management Group in 1984, and is called the "Father of Integrated Social Forestry" in EDC. He has been recognized for his work in the widely-acclaimed EDC program in the forests of Negros Oriental when the company had just commissioned its geothermal steamfield in Southern Negros.

Mr. Medrano is also behind some of the groundbreaking bioengineering technologies being used extensively in EDC's geothermal and environmental operations today, among them the "cogon-matting" technology and the vertical discharge diffuser. Prior to his current position, he was Supervisor for Watershed Technical Services and Environmental Superintendent of EDC's Northern Negros Geothermal Project.

Butch Meily joined the Philippine Long Distance Telephone in 2000 as Vice President and Special Assistant to the Chairman and CEO. In January 2008, he became the President of PLDT Smart Foundation, launching different programs in microfinance, a website and a permanent endowment. He was named Executive Director of the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF), the private sector's response to the calamities and disasters that struck the country that year. Mark Tom Mulingbayan joined the Manila Water Company in 2006 as head of its Wastewater Treatment Operations, and currently heads the Environmental Planning and Sustainability Department. He also served as the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer of the local government of Nasugbu, Batangas, while heading the Environmental Committee of its tourism council.

Mr. Mulingbayan was a faculty of the University of the Philippines College of Engineering before joining the private sector. He is a regular speaker and trainer on topics related to environment and sanitation, and is one of a handful of constructed treatment wetlands practitioners in the country.
