Monette Hamlin

Monette Hamlin

Monette Iturralde-Hamlin is the founder and president of TeamAsia. Monette leveraged a distinguished career in international publishing to conceptualize and create Asia's first agency dedicated exclusively to corporate identity development and non-traditional marketing communications. She developed the business and creative processes that made TeamAsia not just a pioneer in Asia, but an arbiter of industry performance.

Monette is a hands-on manager, taking direct responsibility for such innovative programs as The Asian Management Awards, Asia's first region-wide award for regional excellence, and the Global Information Infrastructure Commission's first Asian global conference. She oversees the execution of a wide range of highly targeted events, from exclusive breakfast briefings for top CEOs to gala product launches to public seminars by some of the world's top business speakers including Michael E. Porter, Peter Drucker, and Philip Kotler.

In 2006, among the major conferences and exhibits Monette and her team will manage are the Asia Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver Annual Conference, Software Innovations Philippines 2006, The 45th ACI World Congress, The League of Corporate Foundations Annual Conference, and the Asia Pacific Digestive Week Annual Conference. She conducts a regular series of product launches, CEO briefings, and technical meetings for clients in a broad range of industries, from steel manufacturing to software solutions.

A popular speaker in her own right, Monette regularly delivers workshops on business writing, public presentation skills, cross-cultural management, team building, and handling difficult people. These courses are offered on a monthly rotation to the public and are typically fully subscribed. Monette is also frequently invited to present these specialized seminars and workshops in-house for major global brands, multilateral institutions, and government agencies.

Monette was previously associate publisher for World Executive's Digest (WED) where she was responsible for circulation for most of the magazine's first decade. Monette increased WED's circulation from less than 15,000 to close to 70,000 throughout the region, making it Asia's fastest growing English-language magazine. Monette completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology at the College of the Holy Spirit, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her post-graduate studies were at the Asian Institute of Management where she completed her Master in Business Management with Distinction.
