Mobius.ph offers MU players double game credits this month

MU Online to go commercial on January 24
(Manila, Philippines) - Mobius.ph - the Philippine distributor of massively multiplayer online game MU Online - announced today that players who load their MU prepaid game accounts within the month of January will receive double the game credits actually purchased and additional experience points. MU Online begins commercial service January 24.
"As a way of thanking our loyal gamers, our 'Double Double Promo' offers bonus game time and experience points for MU Online enthusiasts who load their accounts as we begin our pay-to-play service in January. Players only need to visit the nearest PC Express outlet or Internet café, purchase a MU prepaid card, and activate their account over www.mobius.ph," explained Scott Countryman, president and CEO of Digital Media Exchange, Inc. (dme), the parent company of Mobius.ph.
Prepaid cards are available in 20, 50, 100, and 350 peso denominations and are equivalent to two, eight, 20, and 100 hours of game time, respectively. "So a gamer who tops up his account with P350 worth of prepaid credits before February 1 will enjoy 200 hours of game time, instead of only one hundred," Countryman said.
MU gamers who top up their accounts within the month also gain additional experience points - double their accumulated points, according to Countryman. Experience points are usually earned by players in-game as they slay monsters. Experience points enable game characters to accelerate to the next higher level. "By doubling a player's experience points, players can accelerate their character levels in half the time normally required. This makes their avatars stronger, enabling them to command mightier weapons and armor," he said.
"And of course our loyal gamers can rest assured that no game time will be deducted from their existing accounts when they reload this month. For those who don't load up, they can still enjoy free game play until January 23 although we strongly encourage them to start loading up now to avoid the top-up-your-account rush when we go commercial," said Countryman.
MU Online is set in the legendary continent of Mu at a time of great destruction and unrest. The player assumes an avatar in the form of a knight, wizard or elf and continuously grows the character's strength by taking on and defeating monsters and accomplishing quests. As an avatar grows in strength the player is provided access to increasingly sophisticated levels of the game. When the demon lord Kundun is finally vanquished, the land of Mu will be restored to its former beauty.
