Mobius.ph launches café partner program

(Manila, Philippines) — Mobius.ph — the Philippine distributor of massively multiplayer online games MU Online and Gunbound — has launched a partnership and rewards program for Internet cafés nationwide.

Dubbed “Mobius Café of Choice Partner Program,” (mCoC) the program allows cafés to earn rewards such as in-game items, computer gadgets, and dsl connections as well as special privileges such as advanced copies of new game patches. The program is geared towards building the MU and Gunbound communities within these cafés.
MU Online is played by approximately 20,000 Filipinos daily. Gunbound is played by approximately 220,000 players every day, according to Digital Media Exchange (dme) executives. dme is the parent of Mobius.ph.

“Building a strong community of players within your café has two important effects: first, the players enjoy a unique gaming experience there and so they stay engaged with the games longer; and second, as a result, they become more loyal to your café. As the Mobius.ph community grows in your café, so does your business,” explained dme chief executive Scott Countryman.

Membership is free and open to all Internet cafés operating in the Philippines. There are four membership categories — Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Member — which will be assigned to cafés based on the number of reward points they earn each month. Points are earned based on the amount of MU and Gunbound activity that go on in the café.

Aside from exchanging mCoC points for rewards such as hosted Mobius.ph in-game café events and competitions, limited game banners, and backlit panaflex sign boxes, every member café will get copies of new game patches weeks ahead of other cafés, as well as advanced copies of new games Mobius.ph will be introducing to the Philippines.

“That way your gamers will be the first to experience and enjoy new Mobius.ph titles. Additionally, players from your café will receive priority in-game support services upon your referral,”Countryman said. “This program is our way of supporting and rewarding Internet cafés who are truly our partners in the industry, as well as enhancing the gaming experience of Mobius.ph subscribers nationwide.”
