For three consecutive years now, the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) and TeamAsia have partnered with industry sponsors and volunteers to launch My Dream in a Shoebox – an initiative to give shoeboxes filled with school supplies to less fortunate children. In 2009, campaign assisted street children under the care of the Dynamic Teen Company (DTC), led by 2009 CNN Hero of the Year Efren "Kuya Ef" Peñaflorida. BPAP, TeamAsia and their respective corporate partners distributed gifts to more than 200 children.
The response was overwhelming. In 2010, a total of 3,450 shoeboxes with school supplies were collected and distributed to 13 beneficiary organizations. About 1,000 shoeboxes were turned over to DTC and distributed to 200 kids that joined the celebration, as well as a check of ₱400,000 to help in the construction of the DTC's Kalingain Batang Mahirap Learning Center.
With your support, we can make more children feel the Christmas spirit and help them start building their dreams.
Help us make this dream a reality. Find out what you can do to support these less fortunate kids.
