It's
time to throw the old lifestyle and get into a NEWER and BETTER
way of life at work, even at our homes. For a typical employee, a day starts
with his travel en route to work. Blame it on the-- busted alarm clock, awful
traffic jam, overtime, and last night's party- he becomes pressed for time leaving
him with an empty stomach or merely a take away cup of coffee from Starbucks or
a coffee shop he would chance upon. Upon arrival at the office, he goes straight
to his desk along with the face which does not show any tinge of friendliness.
For his colleagues, he looks zoned out. For him, he is just too preoccupied with
the workload he is about to face, countless emails to answer, irate clients to
pamper, difficult boss or staff to put up with. At the end of day, he becomes
all stressed out- mentally, physically, and maybe, socially. Next day, this happens
again. Totally, it has turned into a vicious cycle until a week or a month from
now, worst, until he retires. We do not want this to happen to us. If you're
an employer, you may not want this kind of employee. We do not want to do the
same things over and over again. We may need to outgrow these missteps and to
know how to properly manage our priorities on hand. The ever-changing demands
of the corporate world require business professionals to be able to juggle their
work duties with their personal responsibilities. And then there is also the need
take some time off for recreation. With all the obligations that need to be fulfilled,
it is easy for one to be stressed mentally, physically, and even socially, and
totally give up any hope of achieving work-life balance. Angeline Teo's
