The last 30 days have been tough for the world because of this pandemic. But as we conquered each day under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), we have also been blessed with some good news and uplifting stories. In case you missed them, we took the liberty of compiling them for you. Here are 30 positive stories in 30 days:

1. President Duterte unites the Philippines by addressing critics who have concerns over the fundraising efforts led Vice President Leni Robredo to help provide more Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) to frontliners.

2. The Philippines continues to receive medical aid from China, South Korea, and Brunei.

3. Local government units have taken the main stage in keeping their localities safe. Certain city leaders have gone over and beyond their call of duty to serve and protect their people.

4. Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian are also seen copying good governance practices from each other to further improve the situation in their respective areas.

5. Senator and People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao has partnered with Chinese billionaire Jack Ma to get more medical assistance for the Philippines.

6. Crime rate in the country has dropped since the ECQ was implemented.

7. To help accommodate more people, different universities like De La Salle University, De LaSalle-College of St. Benilde, and Adamson University opened their doors to provide shelter for the homeless to keep them safe from the outbreak. De La Salle Philippines, the network of all La Salle schools in the country, also launched its “kada-uno” campaign to integrate all their efforts and initiatives.

13. Artists and bands have arranged free virtual concerts to help alleviate everyone’s stress. The Backstreet Boys even made a surprise reunion performance while Broadway performers shared a touching cover of Go the Distance from Disney’s Hercules. 29. For anime fans, Spring season titles like Kaguya-sama Love is War, Digimon Adventure 2020, and Food Wars: Shokugeki no Souma have already started airing, while the newest trailer for Demon Slayer: Infinity Train movie has been released with a Japanese premiere date of October 16, 2020.

BONUS: A true advocate of nation-building, TeamAsia also played its part in helping the community during the ECQ. We partnered with the Quezon City local government in setting up 175 units of shell booth systembers at the Quezon City University to serve as isolation rooms for the persons under investigation (PUIs) due to the lack of hospital bed spaces in the area.
