BPAP and O2P to present results of year’s first industry survey
Manila, Philippines – The Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP), Outsource2Philippines (O2P), and award-winning strategic marketing communications firm TeamAsia are organizing their first quarterly CEO breakfast briefing for IT-BPO executives for the year.
Entitled Investing for Growth: Sustaining Success with the Right Talent, the forum addresses labor-related challenges for the IT-BPO and share services industry. The Philippines’ has surpassed India as the world’s leading voice-based services provider, and increasing talent supply is critical to the industry’s continued success. The IT-BPO Road Map 2011-2016 provides a series of recommendations to increase talent supply, and the briefing will provide the opportunity to evaluate progress on their implementation.
The rapid increase in non-voice IT-BPO services also provides talent supply challenges, and increases the urgency with which they are addressed, according to Gigi Virata, BPAP executive director for Information and research.
“These quarterly briefings are organized to provide IT-BPO and shared services executives expert analyses of emerging trends that affect the industry,” she explained. The first briefing for the year will place March 17, 2011 and will feature a presentation of the results of the first industry survey for the year. Quarterly surveys conducted by BPAP and O2P provide insights into industry sentiment and prospects, and well as executive priorities.
