StarTek Launches Employee Perks Program

Manila, Philippines (June 8, 2010) — High-value business process outsourcing (BPO) service provider StarTek recently launched StarTek Employee Perks, an innovative set of incentives presented with partners offering entertainment, dining, and health and fitness products and services. The program was developed to reward agents and other employees for superior performance.

StarTek Employee Perks provides discounts and freebies to the company’s employees. The program is meant to encourage maintaining and continually improving productivity ratings, show appreciation for top performers, and attract new hires. The perks are part of a company initiative to engage and reward employees both in and out of the office.

Other components of the program include interest clubs, corporate social responsibility and teambuilding activities, and family-oriented fairs.

“Satisfied employees spread the word about the culture here at StarTek, increasing our potential to attract new hires,” Peñalosa said. The success of such in-house recruitment and retention programs is evident in the fast ramp up of StarTek’s second hub, which opened in April in the Ortigas commercial center. The facility currently has approximately 700 employees. The company employs more than 2,000 agents in the Makati and Ortigas facilities combined.
